Comic and Manga share the same editor -- the only differences are art style (color vs. black-and-white line art) and reading direction (left-to-right vs. right-to-left for Manga).

Building a story

Describe a panel. Click a panel, write what happens in the **Scene

Description** box -- one clear sentence usually works better than a long paragraph ("A hero stands on a rooftop overlooking a neon city at night, cape snapping in the wind").

Press Generate Panel. It takes roughly 10-20 seconds; the panel shows a

spinner while it works.

Click + Add Panel to continue the story, or use a layout (2-up,

3-up, grid) to lay out a full page at once.

Generate All runs every panel that has a description and no art yet, in

order -- useful once you've written out a whole scene before generating any of it.

Splitting a script into panels automatically

If you already have a written scene or short script, use Story in the toolbar to paste it in and choose how many panels to split it into -- it writes a description into each panel for you to review and generate.

Dialogue, sound effects, and narration

Switch to the Text tab on the right for each panel to add:

Dialogue (speech bubble)
SFX (manga-style sound effect lettering, e.g. "BOOM")
Narration (caption box)

These render over the generated art -- you can add or edit them after generating, no need to regenerate the panel.

Keeping a character consistent across panels

Freehand text prompts alone tend to drift -- the same "silver-haired girl" looks a little different every panel. Two ways to fix that:

Create a character once in the Character Creator

(describe them, or upload art you already have), then pick that character from the Character dropdown on any panel. Every panel using that character shares their face, hair, and outfit.

Upload a reference/pose sketch directly on a panel (when no character is

selected) -- useful for a specific pose or angle rather than a full character identity.

Regenerating and undo

Regenerate reruns a panel that already has art, using the same prompt --

costs another token, replaces the image.

Cmd/Ctrl+Z (and Shift+Z to redo) undoes structural changes: adding,

removing, or reordering panels, switching layout, and generating. It does not undo individual keystrokes in a text box.

Reorder panels by dragging them in the left rail.

Publishing to a contest

If a weekly contest is running, a contest picker appears next to Publish -- select one before publishing to submit your comic to it.
