The problem I kept running into

I've been drawing characters in my head since I was twelve. Growing up watching Naruto, Bleach, and later discovering Berserk and Vinland Saga, I always had stories. Dozens of them. Characters with names, backstories, superpowers, tragic flaws. But I couldn't draw. Not even close.

I tried every art tool out there — Clip Studio, Procreate, even old-school MS Paint. I hired freelance artists on Fiverr. I spent months trying to learn fundamentals. Nothing stuck. The stories stayed stuck in my head, and every time I saw someone's beautiful OC on Twitter or Pixiv, I felt that familiar sting of “I wish I could do that.”

When AI image generation got good enough to produce consistent anime art, I spent weeks building spreadsheets of prompts, LoRA models, img2img workflows — trying to get a single character to look the same across multiple panels. It worked, sort of, but it was absurdly technical. No regular fan should have to understand VAE scheduling to tell their story.

That's when I started building Gootaku.

What Gootaku is

Gootaku is an AI-powered creative platform where anyone — regardless of artistic skill — can create original manga, comics, and animated GIFs. The AI handles the art. You handle the story. No tutorials, no learning curve, no subscriptions to five different services.

The core innovation is character consistency. Your character looks like your character in every scene, every panel, every expression. That's the hard problem we solved first, because without it, you don't have a story — you have a collection of unrelated images.

Every fan has a universe inside them. We're here to build the door that lets it out.

We believe creative expression shouldn't be gated behind years of art training or expensive equipment. The anime community is one of the most imaginative, passionate, and kind communities on the internet — and it deserves tools built specifically for it.

Roadmap

We're launching the Comic Maker first — western-style comics with character consistency. Manga panels and GIF animation follow. Founding Members get access to everything first and their price locked at $4/month forever.
