You generate panel one and it's great: punchy colors, clean bold linework, your character's red jacket looks exactly right. Panel two, same prompt structure, same character name — and suddenly the jacket is orange, the line weight is thinner, and your hero's hair is a slightly different shade. Nothing "broke." This is just how independent image generation works, and it's the single most common complaint with AI comic art. Here's why it happens in Gootaku's Comic Maker specifically, and what actually helps.
Why Comic Style Drift Is Different From Manga Drift

You don't need exact hex codes — the model won't render them precisely — but naming specific hues ("crimson," "mustard," "navy") gives it a much narrower target than "colorful" or "bright." Keep that palette sentence identical, word-for-word, in every panel of the same scene. Treat it like a style sheet you paste in, not something you re-describe from memory each time.
Fix 2: Use a Character Reference Image
Text alone can only pin down so much. If Comic Maker supports uploading or reusing a reference image for your character, use it — especially for anything with fiddly details like patterned clothing, accessories, or a specific hairstyle. A reference image anchors the model to an actual visual target instead of a text description it has to reinterpret from scratch each time.
